In January 2019, the Institut Guttmann opened the doors of the new “Guttmann Barcelona” center where we develop innovative projects that complement our current service offering.
“Guttmann Barcelona” is a highly specialized healthcare center that, through a large team of neurorehabilitation experts and with the quality seal of the Guttmann Institute, wants to promote the health and well-being of the people it serves and their families. An initiative whose mission is to serve people in a comprehensive, holistic and personalized way, generating an environment that favors health and personal well-being, while accompanying them in improving their functional capacities.
This innovative initiative develops these two service offerings:
Guttmann Barcelona Life is a social facility made up of a set of fully adapted and domotic apartments. The apartments have a wide range of complementary services tailored to each user. In addition, the initiative has a complementary portfolio of personal and support services specifically aimed at promoting personal autonomy.
Guttmann Brain Health Institute (or Institut Guttmann for Brain Health) is a clinic specially thought and designed to offer the best diagnosis and the most advanced treatments to respond to functional problems, both motor, cognitive and behavioral, that affect people suffering from a neurological disease or some type of neuropsychiatric disorder.

Guttmann Brain Health Institute is organized in different Knowledge Clinics:
– Neurodevelopment Clinic
– Ictus and Brain Damage Clinic
– Parkinson’s and other movement disorders Clinic
– Emotional and behavioral disorders in adults Clinic.
– Memory Clinic.
– Fibromyalgia and neuropathic pain Clinic.
– Brain Health Clinic.
Guttmann, NeuroPersonalClínic® (GNPC) is an activity that includes specialized treatments and training activities and improvement of functionality that until December 2018 were carried out at the Neurorehabilitation Hospital of Badalona. In 2019, it has been incorporated into the service offering of the Guttmann Brain Health Institute.
In total, a total of 729 people have been treated throughout the year 2019, coming from the activity in the clinics or from the GNPC.
