Guttmann Barcelona Open Day

Set up of activity at the new Guttmann Barcelona centre was celebrated with an open day on 19th and 20th January with more than 1,500 people who spent the whole weekend discovering the new building and the new services it offers. The event was attended by professionals, friends, neighbours, public and private institutions, neighbourhood organisations, personalities, etc. During these two days, not only could the building be visited but also workshops and talks were organized for all audiences.

Guttmann’s Agora Barcelona

The revitalization of Guttmann Barcelona has been one of the key pieces of the institutional, communicative and social activity of the Institut Guttmann and for this reason different initiatives have been launched such as the Ágoras, an environment for reflection with conferences and talks open to all with topics as diverse as the treatment of Ictus, disability and gender equality, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, loneliness and brain health, etc.

During 2019 a total of 7 Ágoras were held with the attendance of more than 500 people.

Press conference to present the Guttmann Brain Health Institute

Last December a press conference was organized as an official presentation to the media of the Guttmann Brain Health Institute (GBHI) with Dr. Alvaro Pascual-Leone as director. As the main representatives of the new project there were Dr. Josep M. Ramírez, Dr. Montserrat Bernabeu and Dr. Concepción Puig. The press conference was attended by numerous media such as El Mundo, Diario Médico, Agencia EFE, La Razón, Expansión, The Business Year, RAC1, Betevé, Diari Ara and La Vanguardia.

Also, during 2019 the website of the Neuroclinic for Brain Health, Guttmann Brain Health Institute, has been launched.

Guttmann Open House Barcelona

The new Guttmann Barcelona building opened its doors for the second time at the 48h Open House Barcelona festival as a building of architectural interest.
