The objective of the Institut Guttmann’s teaching activity as a University Institute is to contribute to the specialized training of professionals linked to the world of neurorehabilitation and to allow them direct, rigorous and practical access to the main diagnostic, technological and therapeutic advances in this clinical specialty. The teaching offer ranges from University Master’s degrees, postgraduate courses and expert program to practical training, both in MIR and in other disciplines.
In 2019, the accreditation of the University Master’s Degree in Neuropsychological Rehabilitation and Cognitive Stimulation was renewed, which has obtained the favorable report from the AQU and Ministerio de Educación Cultura y Deporte; The University Master’s Degree in Neurorehabilitation of 60 ECTS, which replaces the previous one of 120 ECTS, has obtained verification as an official degree and 29 new students have enrolled.

• We have contributed to the training of 25 doctors: 24 MIR specialists in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and 1 doctor in the specialty of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology.
• We have participated in the practical training of 56 professionals from different clinical disciplines such as Physiotherapy, Nursing, Neuropsychology, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, etc., and 21 clinical assistant students, 2 administrative assistants, 1 imaging technician for the diagnosis and 1 of social health care.
• 9 professionals from the Institut Guttmann have been invited to participate as professors in different master’s degrees organized by universities and hospitals, national and foreign.
SANTI BESO ARNALOT DOCUMENTATION CENTER
The Neurorehabilitation Documentation Center has continued to offer its services for another year to all those interested in specific and bibliographic information, consultation of documentary resources and databases, search for articles, web-directed access, reprographic service, etc.
The total number of users of the Santi Beso Arnalot Documentation Center in 2019 was 665, with a total of 2,033 face-to-face visits.
As for requests for articles, a total of 2,132 have been requested, of which 2,087 (97%) have been served; Of these, 77.38% have been requested by internal users of the institute itself and 22.62% for external users.
The Documentation Center has a replica of its entire bibliographic collection digitized on the SiiDON web portal. It constantly updates the final master’s projects of the students, the doctoral theses and the articles of our professionals and the summaries of the subscribed magazines, among others.
